Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
When accessing the "Application" and "Places" menu on the gnome panel,
icons are shown on the left side of the menu entries, this is not the
case when you access the "System" menu, icons are, however, shown within
the sub menus "Preferences" and "Administration".
It is however possible to turn these icons on by accessing the "Change
Desktop Background" option (right click on desktop", and tick the "Show
icons in menus" under the "Interface" tab.
Shouldn't icons be shown under the "System" menu in gnome panel by
default, for the sake of consistency within the gnome-panel?
