ok, my previous comments are either wrong or need clarification. It has nothing to do with printing, or with the shuffle.
Here's the story: I've recently moved platforms from Windows to Linux. I have a ton of MP3s that I ripped from CDs under a windows program (I think it was Real's program). I've found a few MP3s which play fine under windows and on my iPod, but cause Rhythmbox to crash. It always crashes at the same point during playback. (I can attach the MP3 if your willing to deal with such a huge attachment). Interestingly, it also causes Banshee to crash. So I'm guessing they use some common decoder libraries that have the problem. The valgrind log is attached. ** Attachment added: "mem dump from segmentation fault" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6467080/valgrind-logs-rhythmbox.tar.gz -- Rhythmbox crashes while playing MP3 https://launchpad.net/bugs/85828 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
