Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy
After opening Empathy, the power icon next to your name in the upper right hand corner is changed to a chat bubble. If you close Empathy, the /usr/lib/telepathy/mission-control-5 process is still running even though you are not running Empathy. You have to manually kill /usr/lib/telepathy/mission-control-5 to get the power icon back.
