This is still happening, with updates as of an hour ago. In addition, the 'cardbus cards are not supported' message is repeated showing on at least one of the console ttys. As before, a couple of similar messages are added to kern.log every second.
The PC card slot is still unusable, but works fine if I boot 9.04 from the live CD - under 9.04 I can use a Netgear WG511T wifi card in that slot without any additional drivers.
