please don't understand my comment as complain to developers. There are bugs 
and will be forever. But the situation with HW is really bad, bad, bad. And the 
biggest thing Ubuntu can do is to test and make the situation clear. It looks 
like less important, but I am convinced that actually the Ubuntu NOTE "Tested" 
instead of "Not recommended, can crash your PC ..." is much more important and 
should not happen. I personally think, that the historical role of Ubuntu is 
not in developing new and new SW, but in making the "force", testing and giving 
stamps "tested" and presenting that e.g. ATI is not Ubuntu friendly etc. ....
