Found a workaround to get back the network manager icon in the system tray:
open a terminal (K-Menu --> Applications --> System --> Terminal) and type:: kcmshell4 --icon networkmanager kcm_networkmanagement kcm_networkmanagement_tray Now the KDE network manager window appears: - click on the "others" icon on the left side - in the tab "Tray icon" enable the "Show tray icon" checkbox - press either the "Apply" or "Ok" button The icon should immediately appear in the system tray area. Nevertheless there is a need for a better solution usable for non technical people. -- Network Manager Widget in System Tray Disappeared After User Switching https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451537 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-networkmanagement in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
