Hi Aaron, thanks for your comment! I'm not completely sure if I installed hplip manually. I'd think I did not, but maybe I did (a few releases ago, possibly).
Do you mean I should --purge remove it and the install again? Or dpkg --reconfigure? What's the technical background of this matter? As far as I know all packages are upgraded, not only automatically installed ones. So why would I need to reinstall a package after an upgrade to make it work again?
