Public bug reported:
On a dell xps m1530, the line input jack doesn't work on Karmic 9.10
(same problem in previous Ubuntu versions). With the command alsamixer
there is a switch between 'Line In' and 'Mic in', but in both cases,
audio is recorded from the internal microphone of the laptop.
