I face this problem with Karmic Release Candidate. Strangely, if the USB device is plugged during boot, I can see it in dmesg, lsusb and can mount it like usual.
But if I plug it once the PC has booted, I cannot see it in lsusb, nothing happens in dmesg, it is not visible palimpsest, etc. math...@mathieu-desktop:~$ lspci | grep -i usb 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB/3100 Chipset UHCI USB Controller #1 (rev 09) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB/3100 Chipset UHCI USB Controller #2 (rev 09) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB/3100 Chipset UHCI USB Controller #3 (rev 09) 00:1d.3 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB/3100 Chipset UHCI USB Controller #4 (rev 09) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB/3100 Chipset EHCI USB2 Controller (rev 09) Hope this helps. -- karmic: USB-Devices are not detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/455408 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
