I too am having the same issue. Been using gyachi for 4 years now, never a problem, then all of a sudden, this started. Im on 8.04, was using Gyachi 1.1.48, but also reverted back to 1.1.31, 1.1.10 and 1.1.05,.... all with the same issue. I googled around, and it seems that when Yahoo itself re-vamped everything recently, they MAY have blocked all outside non-official releases of yahoo. Pidgin is having the same issue as well as it wont even connect at all. Hope this gets fixed soon. My system also detects no issues as far as logged events/errors.
