I'm using a CMV 221D Monitor, which worked with Ubuntu Version 8.04 in
1024 x 768 mode. However, Version 9.10 beta defaults to an assumed 1280
x 1024 (5:4) mode. System / Preferences /Display shows "Unknown"
Monitor; Refresh Rate 0hz.

I reported this earlier as a bug, but was told it was not. I have
attached my current Xorg.0.log for my current dynamically generated
configuration. I spent a couple of days trying "many" configuration
alternatives, but in the end, all were ignored and reverted back to an
essentially empty /etc/X11/xorg.conf similar to my current one as noted
below:

Section "Device"
    Identifier "Configured Video Device"
    Driver "vesa"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Monitor "Configured Monitor"
    Device "Configured Video Device"
EndSection

If this monitor will not be supported, please let me know so that I can
revert back to an earlier version prior to dropping support for this
monitor. Thanks...

Phil Welch
