Sorry man! I am quite upset with Ubuntu. I installed the 9.10 version and Samba does not work anymore. After two days of research I got a headache and switched back to XP, waiting for Canonical to solve that problem. It seems that many people have the same issue.
I don't know what is Karmic. Is is 9.10?
