Thom, thanks for the clarification. This is a bad behavior then.
As the universe freeze already happened, new package versions need an
exception in order to go to Universe. I currently try to get one in bug
84917 in order to have the latest and greatest version of bcm43xx-
fwcutter in Universe.
I'd like to assign this bug to the kernel also, since there are many pieces of
information in here.
