Public bug reported:

HP Pavilion tx2500 CTO notebook/tablet system with fresh Karmic RC
installation, all available updates applied. Available restricted
drivers in use. During boot, session start and odd other times there
will be a 'pop' from the speakers, similar to what I'm used to when this
machine goes to sleep, but louder. Often followed by a pause and
another pop. Also occurs when Amarok starts, stops.
