Thank you for opening this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. This is
expected behaviour: if you overwrite a file that is already opened (and
being written to) then it will still be reported as growing.
You can test it easily, by:
% ls -lR / > /tmp/trash &
then wait a bit, check on the file size, and:
% cat /dev/null > /tmp/trash && ls -l /tmp/trash
and you will see the file still growing.
As such, closing INVALID (not a bug).
