I can report a similar behaviour in Kubuntu Karmic Release candidate. When I
want to select and drag some cells in oocalc, it crashes with :

QPainter::begin: Cannot paint on a null pixmap
X-Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)

Upon removal of openoffice.org-kde everything is fine again.
