the patch fies the issue for me. i can read pdf files from afs with no
oops.

i still get some audit messages in dmesg from evince. looks like it tries to 
read lots of random files when you load it.

these files are not pdfs, and i did not even open a file in the same
directory. why does evince try to read them?
