Hi Chris,
first I have to apologize that I could not give you the required
information. But I'm a physician and not an IT-freak.
I'll try to describe my problem again:
I'm using OpenOffice 2.4.1 within Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy heron).
When receiving (_not-password-protected_) Word-documents (via
e-mail), I can read these files but not change their content -
because they are marked as "password-protected".
This even happens, when I send Word-files from my Windows-based
OpenOffice account to myself - when receiving in a
windows-environment I can write in these documents - but in the
Ubuntu-environment it's marked again as "protected".
I did not change the status in the bug report because I'm not really
shure whether I could explain my difficulties correctly.
So I try it this way ...
Regards -
Joachim

When receiving a Word-file in Ubuntu via e-mail, these files allways are marked
as "password-protected" and cannot be altered - even if the files are sent by
myself and NOT protected. Do you have a solution? I'm using OO 2.4.1.
