My computer, using an Audigy 2, also has these popping noises. I viewed
the different parameters for the emu10k1 module (modinfo snd-emu10k1),
but there's no powersave options. I didn't have these issues in 9.04,
but since I upgraded to 9.10, these poppings have begun. They happen at
bootup when the snd_emu10k1 driver is modprobed and also before and
after playing a song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
