Toshiba Satellite stalls at Boot stalls at ieee1394: Host Addeed:
ID:BUS[0-00:1023] GUID[00023f77ae40497b] on Karmic Release, Ubuntu 9.10,
both when booted from hard drive installed version and when booted from
a removable disk.
After letting the system sit there for approximately 2-3 minutes, it
loads to a login screen after saying that the first screen resolution
had failed, and then it allows me to log in. After logging in nothing
with work, and attempting to startx results in a non-responsive screen
with the hard drive still apparently working.
