I too am affected, I like the new stuff when I upgrade, but I always
have to look to make sure I can quickly do things like I was used to
before. If I had a perfect memory, I could do everything with the
command line from just reading and doing it once, but I have a graphical
memory instead, and so doing things by clicking on a box in a menu comes
easier to me. This isn't always the case, but sometimes I like terminal,
and sometimes I like the menu gui. I like to be able to do both if I
could, and gnome-do and avant dock helps.

So, I would like to just say I miss having a graphical way to click and
change the computer name, domain name, and the like. Having to help my
family over the phone to setup networking and fixing issues is terribly
harder just only having a terminal way of doing things. Please offer
both, or tell me how I can help to make both ways possible. I would be
more than happy to help Ubuntu developement any way I can.

Thanks, ledzepjes
