Please note that the release notes for kubuntu describe this problem and suggest the a workaround, which works for me. Here are the detailed steps:
1. Install the gnome-network manage with the following: sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome 2. stop the KDE network manager applet pkill knetworkmanager 3. start the GNOME network manager applet nm-applet & then use the configuration provided by the GNOME applet to configure the hidden wireless network. -- cannot connect to hidden ssid/wpa2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422174 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-networkmanagement in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
