Pablo, Ubuntu and Kubuntu use the same underlying software, but the Gnome desktop may make some function calls that KDE doesn't and vice versa. There's no way to fall back to EXA since that part of the driver has been deleted a while ago. In the long run it wasn't possible to maintain three different memory managment schemes, especially when UXA makes much more sense than the others. You can get an xorg.conf by running X -configure or you may copy the default configuration listed in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
For freeze bugs like this one, we need a batchbuffer dump. Take a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze for how to do that. With the batchbuffer dump please also provide a fresh Xorg.0.log and dmesg output. -- [i945] (UXA) Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2772] (rev 02) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400934 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
