System was just sitting. It had gone into "sleep" or "hibernate" mode.
RhythmBox was running, but was paused. I was away from the system when
the crash apparently occurred. I enabled the system by pressing the
front panel power button. The crash report appeared. System is a Dell
Vostro 220.
