Switched to a different Theme control set (Aurora-Midnight to Clearlooks-DarkLime) and I can see everything properly in the Software Center.
Although there is some form of interaction in this version that is causing an issue, it's no longer affecting me (as long as I use other themes). -- Software Center does not redraw correctly when scrolled or resized.
