The Graphics Card is "ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY". I think my problem is resolved. There is a setting under - System - Preferences - Appearance - Visual Effects -NORMAL. I changed it to "None", this seems to work. I think the upgrade changed this setting to Normal. Thanks for the quick response.
