I have the same problem. Kubuntu 9.10, fresh install on a IBM Thinkpad T40. It's probably related to the video card. My guess is that some weird and obscure feature is used for the sake of eyecandy.
To solve the problem i tried to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf, only to find that there is no such file. So Kubuntu is unuseable on a Thinkpad T40, this bug should be flagged as ,,showstopper''. For now i have to go back to Debian 5. Luckily i have a backup. -- System Monitor display is corrupt after upgrade to 9.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/466066 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
