Hello, Same issue here, with latest version of JDownloader (9.310), Asus P5E3 Deluxe mobo, Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT with v185 driver installed through the provided proprietary drivers management tool. Linux distro is a vanilla Kubuntu v9.10 AMD64 (installed a few days ago).
I can report that this issue could lead to a complete crash of the box. When I'm lucky, I may fall to a text console (ctrl-alt-F1), kill java and get back to KDE. All corrupted bitmap caches remain corrupted in that case, what can be fixed by closing/reopening my user session. I cannot tell if the issue is with java or with JDownloader, as I haven't had the time to try another Java application so far. And I won't have today. Finally, yes, not using the nvidia driver solves the issue for me. But it's a high price to pay. -- Java corrupts xserver or nvidia module https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/447835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
