I had a lot of problems too because of that reason, of which most problems were solved after selecting the 'right' kernel. The touchpad problems remains though.
However I realize I got the touchpad working with the 'wrong' kernel by doing the following: echo options psmouse proto=exps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe (As described here: http://danilogurovich.wordpress.com/2009/10/17 /ubuntu-karmic-koala-9-10-beta-buggy-touchpad-behavior/ ) Maybe that has something to do with it... Will try undoing that change. -- Synaptics Touchpad Not Detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442164 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
