Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: yelp
When I installed Karmic final release version from desktop/live CD 32
bit version when I initially went into the Synaptic program to attempt
to install a couple of programs (those being glipper and xsensors) it
was as if the Synaptic program could not find any programs to install
because when I did a search for both glipper and xsensors it could not
find them (also could not find any other programs).
Subsequently, when I went into the MENU listing for adding software
programs, I found xsensors listed there but when I tried to install it,
it can back with some type of error saying that it could not complete
the installation.
Then after this and after I had rebooted the computer and went back into
Synaptic all of a sudden when searching for the glipper and xsensors
programs, it found them and I then installed them perfectly fine.
Why did Synaptic fail to find these programs when I first went into it
to try to find and install these program ?
Thanks.
