Then I'm afraid you shouldn't have run
pvcreate /dev/hda1
pvcreate writes to the specified device.
If you run fsck.ext3 with the right options, it can hopefully find a secondary
superblock and recover your filesystem. Run it on /dev/sda1.
IIRC, there's no way to convert a block device to an LVM logical volume
in-place.
