Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I have a laptop (t41 thinkpad) usually hooked up to the wired network at
my desk, sometimes I take it to class and connect to the wireless
network, then go back to my room and hook up to the wired connection,
but when I bring it back and plug it in, it just sits with one green dot
and never connects, if I killall nm-applet and then start nm-applet
again it connects right away. No idea what is wrong. Also, sometimes
it does not show any of the wireless networks (and there are tons around
here) but once I reboot it shows them. also, if I right click and
disable networking, then re-enable it it says "no networking devices
found". I can create separate bug reports if need be.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
