Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
When I paste some text+internet links+images in oowriter from a web-site (using Firefox), oowriter tries to download the images (in the area of the page which is viewed at the moment of visualizing them on the screen during my mouse scroll) in order to be seen in the document. However, when I scroll down oowriter becomes very unstable (maybe because of the instant downloading of the images one by one). And some more scrolling through the document (and more images to be downloaded) closes oowriter at some point or closes it instantly if there are enough images to be download (4-5 or more). These two actions close oowriter in 2-4 seconds (of downloading images), even if you only paste the images without scrolling. I filed the bug in Arch Linux, where I was redirected to file it on the OpenOffice bugzilla and then from OO bugzilla I was again redirected because this bug DOES NOT occur in the native OO writer version (where OO writer only freezes until the images are downloaded), but only the "go-openoffice" version. Please, look at the bug report in OO bugzilla: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=106209 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Nov 1 22:22:41 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) Package: openoffice.org-writer 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: openoffice.org Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic x86_64 ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- [OpenOffice-writer] crashes if you paste links of images from Firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/469411 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
