** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gnome-media

With an Asus Xonar D1 soundcard, volume adjustment is extremely slow,
- leading to stuttering and sound fallout. The mediaplayer Pulse Audio
- even crashes when playing back a movie with Totem (with other players I
- get only stuttering for several seconds) and adjusting the sound volume.
- To be sure I don't have some weird settings I booted from the live CD
- and had the same problem. Easiest way to see it, is to open the audio
- preference window and adjust the volume from the applet. The volume in
- the window reacts with a huge delay.
