same error here on i865. I tried with xorg-edger's ppa (2:2.9.0+git20091026.10946118-0ubuntu0tormod) and I get the same error. However, rollbacking to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.4 resolves the issue (ppa: http://ppa.launchpad.net/siretart/ppa/ubuntu).
