Same problem here.

But, after running "dpkg --configure -a" I think I found the problem.

OUTPUT:
r...@lxjorn:~# dpkg --configure -a
Setter opp initramfs-tools (0.92bubuntu53) ...

... It's quite possible the lack of free space on /boot which seems to be the 
problem on my side. ;-) I'll try freeing up some space by deleting old kernels, 
and then try the command once more.
