Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
Dear Developers!
I try boot Ubuntu Karmic with following method:
1. In language list, I selected english language.
2. After press one enter key, I pressed f5 key and press 3 left arrow key
(choose screen reader option). After this I pressed two enter key.
When the boot is finished, I see following problems:
1. When the boot first finished, the gnome-volume-applet is disabled, and
impossible to launch sound preferences application (system/preferences/sound
menu item).
I remove .pulse directory and .pulse_cookie file and logout, this is solving
gnome-volume-applet disable problem.
2. When login back again, gnome-volume-applet is displayed, but
impossible increase or decrease sound card volume. Please see the
attached screenshot, the sound preferences/hardware page is empty.
I think this is not only one sound card problem, because I see this
problem both my desktop and laptop computers (different sound card).
Thanks,
Attila
