Acer Aspire 9420. I installed Ubuntu 9.10. Reboot. Worked fine with several
programs. Shut down. Later, normal boot. No poblems.
After a while, I did a hibernate. Since then, the computer stopped working
properly after resume. Cold start does not help.
Desktop does not activate properly (background image and main menu ok, but not
the shortcuts on the desktop). Programs can be opened, but not closed (the
little close / minimize / maximize boxes do not appear) other than through the
menu options (like "File - Quit / Close").
Sorry, cannot be more precise. Handling of windows stopped working too, cannot
do alt-tab to go to other apps, and opening a terminal window almost screwed up
this session, gathering the info needed for this bug report took a long time).
Like I said: switching off the notebook and a cold start did not fix the
problem.

Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have
appeared to have completed normally.
