Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dpkg

I upgrade to ubuntu 9.10 and many packages cause problems to dpkg since
the post install/remove scripts corrupted.

One of the bugs I open on it: #470272 I got an answare that it can't
fixed from your side.

I solve this problem by manually download the deb package and install it
and then I purge it and it solve the problem.

It will be much better if the dpkg itself will know to recover the
scripts by download them again.
