hello again, I tried to use the network method (8.04->8.10->9.04->9.10) but it got messy when i jumped from 8.10 to 9.04, so i formated my HD and i installed 9.10 stable version and it seems to work as... "acceptable" as 8.10. I guess that there is not a good way to jump from 8.04 to 9.10
