Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups
Brand new install (complete reformat) of Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) from CD on Asus M51S. - fully up-to-date as with Added new printer through System Settings > Printer Configuration > New network printer > (automatically found it). Printer is Toshiba eStudio 280, FWIW. Could print (with a few wobbles) using Jaunty on this same laptop. Printing any PDF (that I've tried - from several sources) results in apparently no error, no output. Tried from Acrobat Reader inside Firefox, Konqueror, separate Acroread, separator Okular, all do nothing except write to.. /var/log/cups/access_log: localhost - - [03/Nov/2009:10:05:57 +1300] "POST /printers/Bigprint_(csl) HTTP/1.1" 200 462 Create-Job client-error-bad-request and /var/log/cups/error_log: E [03/Nov/2009:10:05:57 +1300] Returning IPP client-error-bad-request for Create-Job (ipp://localhost:631/printers/Bigprint_(csl)) from localhost Printing test page from System Settings / Printer configuration works; printing from OpenOffice works.
