I don't understand where is the disconnect, please educate me.
Not sure where the coupling is, between:
- kernel version,
- udev,
- ALSA,
- pulseaudio.

What makes Karmic, Karmic?
Why I cannot use some older version, and keep consistency?
(I hope my questions make sense...)
