Hi, could you please specify which version of the network-manager
package you are running? You can know this information by issuing the
'apt-cache policy network-manager' command. It would be helpful if you
could paste or attach the output of that command here.
Also, are you using any special parameters in the settings for your
wired connection, under the IPv6 Parameters tab? On an usual setup, the
first drop-down (probably called "Method") should be set to Ignore, and
the rest greyed out, unless you use IPv6. You'll want to have any
changes you've made to /etc/network/interfaces to be reverted before
testing.
