The sound issue i get is a hissing sound overlaid on the output, if i
change the speaker setup after boot it disappears until the next boot. I
have only tried this on openSUSE, as my ubuntu box doesn't have any PCI
slots (all on board), and only has sound "jumping" issues relating to
system load.
