I found a workaround by adding "nomodeset" to the /boot/grub/grub.cfg so it looks like this:
Before: linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-14-genericroot=UUID=b70e96fc-dc87-4521-a68e-56372aa968c9 ro crashkernel=384M-2G:64M,2G-:128M quiet splash After: linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-14-genericroot=UUID=b70e96fc-dc87-4521-a68e-56372aa968c9 ro crashkernel=384M-2G:64M,2G-:128M quiet nomodeset splash But I don't know how it avoids the bug and I guess it's not a "real" solution of the problem. -- Brightness can't be changed, (K)Ubuntu 9.10, Kernel 2.6.31-14 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/471562 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
