Please dont comment on closed bugs, all it does is send me unneeded emails. This is more of a profile bug or using upstream package. Please rename your .mozilla-thunderbird profile and start on new profile. as for using 3.0 it does not support lightning from our repos, I dont recall if they fixed it in upstream 1.0 and/or thunderbird3.0
