I have some complains re the use of karmic on my Acer Aspire One 110L (with the 8GB SSD) but the wlan does work reliably! I have done a complete reinstall once the final karmic came out, but wlan did work well before.
However, i use WEP only (due to some old WEP-only hardware). With that caveat my original bug is fixed. The wlan adapter in the different Acer Aspire Ones may be different.
