Scott,

For Ubuntu Studio users, thinking about people using DV cameras or FFADO
supported Firewire sound cards, the easiest way to get access to raw1394
is to set it to belong to "video" group, and the user to this group.
Previously, in Hardy, it belongs to "disk" group.

If you won't change anything about that point, I mean let the default to root
group, what is the "good way" to configure access for audio and video firewire
users ? So I can document it on the wiki on the page I keep updated with the
better solution as possible.

Thanks in advance for your answer

default ownership of /dev/raw1394 is root:root rather than, say, root:video
