The same happens to me. I have a fresh 9.10 installed, my DVDROM is PIONIER DVR 216. When I insert CD with Audio or data, DVDRM starts but doesn't mount the disc. I have to make several attempts before the drive will start working. It is really annoying bearing in mind that 8.04 worked without that problem!!!
