hm_shurt >> I used mem=4G iommu=off kernel parameters instead and now I've only
have 3Gb recognized (instead of 4Gb) but most important, everything works like
a charm ! No more kernel panic. Network Manager works great under Gnome, but I
had to install wicd under KDE in order to connect...Thanks for the workaround
;)
You seem to have a Toshiba Laptop L510, I also have a new L505 and I've got one
more thing to solve (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/321578 and
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-laptop-and-netbook-25/fan-acpi-problems-insyde-h20-bios-toshiba-satellite-pro-l300-x-716924)
a fan speed which is not regulated (only spinning at full speed), maybe you
have some clues about this issue ? Thx ;)
